I am always an advocate for anything handcrafted. I still prefer the feel of paper when reading a book rather than on a Kindle, a handwritten note rather than a printed one.  After rediscovering knitting years ago, everything made even more sense: 2 needles and a ball of yarn, that is all I needed to recenter myself and create something at the same time, anywhere I go…

My lifelong mission is to share this passion to anyone who wants to learn or just starting as well as to spread the love for fibre arts to all. More importantly, educate each other about fibre and its trades to keep them alive and rethink how to market it to make it accessible to everyone…from the farmers to the artisans, retailers and consumers. It would be such a shame to lose all this know how to fast-fashion and fast- “everything”.

This is why Maille Laine exists. To provide an inclusive space, wool, tools and services to support, stimulate, empower and act as a catalyst to your creativity and your projects or even spread the love for fibre.
